kinda preferred to novels revelation to this one... author basically went through how cecil was psycho in every single route and not just this one war route - felt a lot worse there

edit: unless the manga goes through each single route per chapter but that still feels like it'll drag it out (suspense was already kinda lost after this first chapter!)

@jak I believe these are basically the alternate routes as an explanation of why Tia wants heroine and Cecil to end up together (and why heroine considered she was doing Cecil a favor by choosing him)

@jak It's an otome game with different outcomes based on who the player/heroine chooses. In this prince after story, it happens when the heroine chooses anyone other than the prince.

The thing is, not in every route the neighboring country will invade.
This is a what-if story that the Heroine chose Valdo. And iirc, the novel explained not in every route the neighboring country will invade even if the heroine didn't choose the Prince. But it IS a calamity one way or another..

But here, Bertia trying to match up the Heroine with the prince, and the Heroine itself willingly chose the prince. So she might doesn't see the need to tell it.

...so you're telling me he was a psychopath. Hell, he probably still IS a psychopath, it's just that he's fixated on Bertia. To keep her happy, he has to be kind to her friends and the people she cares about, and she has a big heart, so that's a large number of people. I don't think he really has friends in the normal sense, but...to his credit, he works with his group and talks to them about his plans instead of moving people like chess pieces. So that's good I guess.

@jak it's an otome game. There are routes for all the major characters. All the routes suck for everyone except the heroine with the exception of the prince route. That's the only one that avoids the tragedies (except the plague early on, which is baked into the back story). So Bertia wanted to ensure the princexheronia route as the only way to protect everyone else (except herself, who had no happy ending anywhere in the game.) What she didn't understand was that she had already achieved the result with the prince (curing his loneliness), which was Heronia's role in the prince route.

dude, that ending doesnt even make sense.... so the heroine abandoned the crown prince after all???? so where is that bullshit that the bird is spewing on the earlier chapters??? so in the end, the prince wasnt happy at all? 🤧

@FrostKD This is an explanation of other routes that would happen if the heroine of the game doesn't end up with prince Cecil, in this case Valdo's route, it's not the current canon. The image that the bird showed Cecil was if the heroine did choose him.

Remember, Bertia basically said that if Cecil doesn't end up with the heroine, he won't be happy.
