Not trying to brag but just to give real life example, one girl from my class back then confessed that she got interested in me because that one time I tried to calm our group down when some incident happened. Yeah, just like that. Even I was surprised to hear that.

Let's be a little more accurate, she's infatuated with him. Love is a much deeper connection that she's not experiencing because she doesn't know the guy beyond a couple of nice gestures and the fact that he seems to be alone a lot. Her personality shift might be the most intersting thing about this because of how drastic a change she made... like, this is D.I.D./Multiple personality level change, meanwhile the most he did was grow his hair out. I'm more curious about what changed her than the relationship.

She got a crush and then it was reinforced repeatedly by seeing the way he acts day to day. That’s the point where I think she actually fell for him.

After that, the drastic image change was probably caused by a desperation to be liked, and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve that without considering the long term consequences enough, because of obsession.

She could see the MC ‘hiding’ though. The panel where he leans out from behind the wall to hear better shows that she is facing his direction, so almost definitely would have seen him.

I dunno why she asked the 100 question thing.
Maybe to show the MC that ‘this is why you don’t have to worry about other guys trying to date me, they can’t do what you can so easily, I know they don’t care about me as much as you do’, like as a form of reassurance since he was obviously worried about the other guy confessing (going as far as stalking/eavesdropping).

It's Yandere albiet like lower yandere not like super hardcore Yandere. I always find these rom coms funny how they treat them like they are a perfect match but he'll possibly get shanked just over having a female co-worker or friend lol.
