It could also be that with his mom leaving in the divorce, MC has become more wary around girls, keeping his distance, and subconsciously avoid not getting hurt by being left behind like the mother did to him.

I would agree that Akira's personality has done a pretty hard shift, but perhaps its because MC has spent so much time teasing her that she wants to take advantage of his sudden weakness and tease him back.

Clearly she's had no issue advancing their relationship considering the bathtime visit, and perhaps her aggressive approach is in response to MC being a little bit distant after he found out.

I agree the personality shift was drastic, but I think it resulted from Ryota pulling away just when Akira finally came toward him. So now she has to take the initiative to make their relationship "better" in her own way. If you think about it another way, Akira thought that Ryota was interested in her, so when the bathroom incident happened that was Akira acting bold with his boldness. Now she has taken that boldness and scaled it even higher because she wants something different from a sibling relationship, especially since it is clear that Ryota was misunderstanding the entire time.

Or at least that is my interpretation.
