And the card "manifested" on the Chimera's head, because the MC wanted Char to beat (preferably as part of a team) to avoid having to "fight" her. In the finals.

Surprised that MC let the queen's attack get so close to his sister, unless he's sure the situation is completely under control. For someone who hates working or studying, he put a lot of effort into this card collecting quest, and a giant robot.

Wonder if the artist is simply ignoring any consequences of MC's absence from this chapter, if the clone will show up later to disguise the absence, or if the artist is using the absence to give other characters (like the principal) another hint at Shiva's identity.

Well he has a serious weakness where Char is involved, I mean he practically does every favor she asks of him.As for the robot, I imagine he goes for a reaction like this one:
"We have fought against a great evil together, let's all be victors and let's not continue the team battle"
Essentially avoiding the battle with char. Where he would have to lose the battle and perhaps annoy his sister when she realizes he intentionally lost.

As for "letting the queen's attack get so close". I am almost 100% certain that there are a million layers of the MC's shield between her and any potential threat.

The MC (second born) and the Prince (third born) are full-blooded siblings, while the Princess is the firstborn and shares the King as the father with both of them. The bitch is the King's second wife, with the Princess' dead mother being the first wife.

Both of their names share the common ‘lotte’ but of course they are both totally different names. So if I were to stick to their indexes in the alphabet, say A=1, B=2, … , Z=26, if I were to calculate the numbers:

- L=12, O=15, T=20, T=20, E=5
- Sum = 12+15+20+20+5 = 72

So for Charlotte:

- C=3,H=8, A=1, R=18
- Sum = 3+8+1+18 = 30

And for Gizelotte:

- G=7, I=9, Z=26, E=5
- Sum = 7+9+26+5 = 47

So in total:

• Charlotte = "Char" + "lotte" = 30 + 72 = 102

Look at chapter 118. He always has her under surveillance, so any kind of scheme she cooked up was leaked from the get go. There's no way that giant robot was created on a spur of the moment, he specifically made it for a kaiju battle.
