I fucking knew it, Sayuri's response to the confession was a good hearty laugh.
Yeah. And/or remove their uploads. That rule kinda whack tho, what md gonna do to them? Blocking the group?
Wow I didnt know webtoon can get axed, I thought they can run forever and milking it till dry...The one I knew so far is from Pocket Comics, and even then they axed it, even though the work is already finished they still call it 'hiatus' on the web
idk what they were thinking as well I wouldn't be translating this if they had continued the webtoon and on top of it, they will get my money lol. This is one amazing case where the official english got axed instead of the original work.... and this isn't just any other title, this manga already has tv drama lol (sorry for venting)Wow I didnt know webtoon can get axed, I thought they can run forever and milking it till dry...
The way that rule works is if i upload chapter 50 and not upload the chapters before it, essentially forcing readers to read on the site to fill the gaps.Mangadex actually has a rule against this, idk if it's actually enforced or what it actually means for their releases on MD
well its not to pay our bandwidth, rather its to pay the TLers lol. Yeh, things changed over the past 3-4 yrs due to how the manhwa scanlation became so commericialized (manhwa TLers get paid $25 per chap) that kinda influenced the manga thing as well. Sure we'll upload the chapters at one point onto mangadex, but not yet. The website is hosted on a cheap ass server and also, the website barely makes any money at this point (i do want to improve that hopefully).Yeah. And/or remove their uploads.
And it's not whack at all. MangaDex is not a fucking advertiser for someone's ad-riddled shit website. They have to pay for bandwidth to host these uploads that are basically billboard advertisements that say, "IF YOU WANT TO READ MORE LEAVE MANGADEX AND GO TO OUR WEBSITE WHERE WE GET PAID BY ADS EACH TIME YOU CLICK SOMETHING." There's a thousand trash manga aggregates you can throw chapters on and spam advertisement. Don't do it here.
yes. they delete the group. That rule kinda whack tho, what md gonna do to them? Blocking the group?
you not reading on the site == not being able to afford more chapters bro. It's as simple as that.It wasn't a favor, it was essentially advertising for their site. It's actually pretty shady, and why Mangadex doesn't allow groups to do it.
It's a solemn duty to read groups like this only on aggregator sites.
well its not to pay our bandwidth, rather its to pay the TLers lol.

Additionally, we don't have any pop ads, or the ads that basically redirect you when you click something.
There is banner ads (at just two location per page) and a sticky footer ad. I'd say its very minimal tbh, which also might be the reason we make very less, but there was a time people like you hated us for ads so I guess i went with the minimal route.
lmfao you dumb bitch I read scans of Ranma 1/2 downloaded from IRC over a decade before crowdfunding sites even existed. The only money scan groups need is for buying copies to scan; hosting doesn't even barely cost anything anymore.you not reading on the site == not being able to afford more chapters bro. We have detailed the economics of producing the chapters on our patreon, but yeh...Considering how things were i guess 3-4yrs ago, its not "volunteer" basis. Volunteers still do exist, but they just happen to go MIA and not sustainable over a long duration.
Reading on Aggregators makes nobody win, The readers still get ads, The people who are trying to get this shit translated won't be able to translate it too.
Scanslation was around for years as a fully volunteer system for fans by fans before you MTL scammers started running things into the ground. Shut the fuck up about shit you know nothing about you worthless crook.well its not to pay our bandwidth, rather its to pay the TLers lol. its been 3 months... (its prolly like 3 chapters worth of time ngl, so as usually some day when i am free i will batch upload, also uploading on MD is sure a pain because you can't do batch uploads like bato.to and instead go one by one chapter, i made a stupid script to interact with the api, which kinda works that i use currently.)I wasn't talking about your fucking site's bandwidth, I was talking about MangaDex essentially hosting "freebie" chapters that are basically an advertisement to go to your site. You're burning up MangaDex bandwidth, IN VIOLATION OF THE SITES RULES, as a method to advertise your website.
Which is shitty behavior.
And against MangaDex rules.
MangaDex is not your own personal fucking advertising platform, you chucklefuck.
No, no, no. Don't give me that horseshit. The majority of scanlators don't do this for money. There's plenty on this site that never solicit or take a dime.
It's been months, my dude, you aren't fucking uploading a thing. You know it, I know it. When I wrote that post just a few days ago your last upload anywhere on the site was 3 months ago. You're full of shit and just don't want to get banned for breaking the rules on the site.
Did I say anything about pop-up ads or virus ads? Fuck no, I didn't. I said ads. Which you just admitted you have. And which you use to generate money by refusing to release chapter updates on MangaDex and now you're desperately groveling like a loser and trying to offer a justification because you know you're in violation of the site rules and YET YOU STILL refuse to comply with them.
Get fucked.
Exactly, hosting doesn't cost anymore. As i mentioned to the other dude, that the cost is in the TLers and TSerslmfao you dumb bitch I read scans of Ranma 1/2 downloaded from IRC over a decade before crowdfunding sites even existed. And like we keep saying, scanslation never had people begging for money, except for hosting, until scum like you came around. You can pretend you "have" to runs scammy ads to "pay" translators, but you're just lying and you and everybody else here knows it.Exactly, hosting doesn't cost anymore. As i mentioned to the other dude, that the cost is in the TLers and TSers
we pay $5 per chapter (a 30 page chapter i guess and $10 for something like kenja)
and $0.15 for CL/RD per page. It's not much, but atleast its for being "rewarded". Hence ad revenue from the site is necessary.
It's still free...and it's your choice, but you need not be so bitchy about it lol.
