And, I mean sure, a teacher should scold a student for bad grades or not applying themselves, but telling them to give up on something that they want to work forward to like that is also pretty fucking pathetic behavior for a teacher, even if it's his terrible attempt to goad her into improving (which is a terrible strategy to begin with).

And he was just blatantly being an asshole when she was late. Even the other teacher was like "it's fine, let her take the test." Fuck this dude.

Since I just started reading this, I wouldn't make any assumption about the teacher. But I think he should be not that harsh to a student. They're doing their best. He shouldn't dismissed a student by lazy just like that. Not to mention, he's the homeroom teacher..
