It goes to show what a selfish and messed up freak this guy is. It's already a disgusting crime that he's taking advantage of Wakaba and manipulating her, but the fact that he can look at a baby, acknowledge to himself that it's his child, and still want to kill it just steps it up to another level of depravity. I don't think he even views people as people, he just sees them as things. In Haru's case, he's being looked at like damaging evidence that needs to disposed of as quickly as possible and nothing else.

@Shewy92 Kids can come back later and claim support. But since there was talk about "that teacher" earlier he might have some reputation and probably already a warning about "do stuff like this again and you'll be fired" (and word will get out to other schools about what you did), so basically if he wants to keep his job (and the accompanying opportunities to abuse the weak) he needs to make sure there's no actual proof (like a kid that could pass a paternity test).
@John_Doe_Jersey It's probably overplayed now since the story has come to an end (and I'm reading towards it), but the "proof" clause above is also an optional reason (instead of just doorbell) for how she and kid could be safe at least one more chapter, no matter what happens. He needs at least a little time to hide a dead baby, so he can't just grab it and run. And murdering a student in a building where people might have seen him go in, or might hear her yells, is definitely an immediate risk when compared to just trying to convince her again. (Not to mention that she might fight back successfully, which would be pretty much an immediate loss for him.)(Also the actual mother would pretty easily manage to figure out it was he who did it, so then he'd have to murder yet another student, one with a journalist mother who would have to do a thorough investigation to save her own face what with having said she was such a good mother, meaning he would have to kill her as well..)
