I love how dio here is very intellectual, calm, collected but in part 3 he's all like: MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!!! *dies. by literally deciding to TEST him enemy in the middle of a fight and has at least 20 minutes of comical dialogue in his head*

People confused about dio saying hermit purple was the weakest stand, first he hasn't even met joseph yet and second calling someone's ability the weakest is just a typical bad guy thing and is usually a baseless threat.

1: Do people really take DIO's comment in Part 3 as him saying Hermit Purple is the weakest of ALL stands in P3? Are people literally that out of touch to not know what a villain TAUNTING is?

2: People seem to forget that DIO's first major dialogue in P3 where we actually see his face during the discussion with Polnareff on the stairs is him getting deeply philosophical about the nature of having peace of mind. And a lot of his other remarks earlier with Enya or just by himself also imply he became a bit more philosophically aware while in the coffin. Portraying him as if he was only some angry power hungry tyrant as his sole character motivation is proof ya didn't read that shit.
