And there's his stand! Looks like some sort of ability to fade into formless, unrestrainable mist, yet still retain dexterity and precision enough to perfectly sign a document and gut some poor fool's throat with a pen...

Damn, it's like Iggy's The Fool, but both the stand AND the user can become sand! How the hell do you kill someone like that?

Looks like Howler caved in with signing the documents, but I feel he's playing the long game. Probably gonna try to find a lava rock of his own to redirect his land back into his ownership.

Super intriguing stuff so far. Still feels like Howler's on the backfoot, but in a way that makes him more threatening than less. He's been wronged, and we have no idea how exactly he's gonna get payback...

Howler's Stand is AMAZING. Its design doesn't give off main villain's vibes tho. Maybe in the next arc the mafia will be revealed as the true mastermind? Or maybe the president, since Howler was baffled with the revelation? Anyways, I feel like Hacca will become quite recurring now... Maybe he will enter the gang? Unlikely, but I am sure Araki will make something great with the character.

The documents have been signed, and the lava rock crumbles. I doubt this is the only lava rock. Bet it's going to be a race to see who gets the next one.

Howler's stand has been revealed! Can't wait to see what it can really do.

Howler's stand probably has something to do with the "absurd" they have been talking about, like some sort of sacrifice mechanic, since he was only able to use after signing the documents in exchange he was able to flee

My guess is to hide the body. So far the only people dead on the ship are the officers which could be chalked off as Howler resisting arrest. Howler killing his lawyer might raise questions. Especially since her girlfriend disappeared at Meryl's place.

I like that the major plot point (the lava rock and the land deeds) are gone with a bang. Nice way to signal the end of the first part of the story. Reminds me of Polpo's treasure in pt. 5.

if the era where everything is simply handed to Howler is over, I'm as terrified as I am excited to see how he'll carry himself into a new era for himself and his family...

but for now, that's a win! I'm looking forward to seeing the gang reconvene and plan for whatever comes next

I find it funny how they just get ignored by the military even when Howler was talking to them about signing the docs. They even get to leave the yacht easily.

I feel like Howler won't be main villain either, but he'll absolutely be coming back later to retrieve his assets for sure. Give the rights over to the group so his land and assets aren't taken away --> Comes back later on to get it back but then teams up with the group when some other faction shows up.

I gotta say, so far I'm enjoying this way more than part 8.

I'm still convinced Howler is indeed our big bad. This chapter gave the vibe of Gravity Falls episode 19 - a major villain shows off his immense power but gets defeated and runs away, only to return later properly as the main villain.

Also, POTUS mentioned... Will it just be Biden, or are we going to get The Funniest Valentine in canon?

hmm, idk it feels like Howler will join us later on, since Jodio plans to get filthy rich Howler's lands will merely be one of them and most likely Howler himself will be put in charge of managing them later on while Jodio takes over other companies as well with the help of lava rock, dont forget rohan, scope will definitely expand

With how good of a parallel ever-piercing rain and ever-evading mist are, I'm hoping Howler will have a large part to play in the rest of the story. Jodio facing everything head on and Howler, perhaps, advancing his goals in less direct ways?
