One of the most common things for non-main characters in fantasy manga to do when confronted with someone overwhelmingly powerful who could wipe them all out in an instant is act like complete dicks towards them. Then when the powerful person finally has enough of it and strikes back, everyone screams "SEE?! WE WERE RIGHT TO TREAT THEM LIKE SHIT LOOK HOW EVIL THEY ARE!!!1!1!!!11!1!!!!one!!"

That said, the Elves will probably be decent enough, but the one asshole she spared will almost certainly continue to be an asshole and will find a way to try to ruin things for everyone.
