Enough with using LGBT wordings in the translation.
It is just a guy who likes to crossdress as a woman, nothing to do with queer or whatever related to it.
This is purely manga. Not related to western culture or idealogy.
many crossdressers
are in fact "queer or whatever", but yeah, not all, and its pretty much just about context and the individual crossdressers identity stuff and reasons for crossdressing. that said, japan has an extensive history of crossdressing (for example, kabuki actors - all born male, since women were not allowed to act in kabuki theatres - who played womens roles were expected
never to dress as men; even outside theatres, they essentially lived as women)
and of homo- and bisexuality. it was seen as important for samurai to have sexual relationships with one another, for example, as well as to take wives to continue family lines, and theres also some documentation of wives and women in general practising more lesbian activity once wife-visiting becomes a more widespread practice than spouses living together too.
it was only around WW2 and following it, after the rise of fascism and after
further-increased westernisation that gender and sexual fluidity become
less acceptable in japan. but no, sure, you just say your dumb bigoted shit about stuff you know nothing about because you hate queer people and are too immature to keep it to yourself or learn smth about people who arent exactly like you
