Leave it to the people pushing acceptance being the most intolerant of them all and forcing their beliefs on others at the end of the day.

”It’s not like my big brother is trans or anything” yeah they just happen to only present themselves as a woman, wear exclusively women’s clothing and generally seem happy living as woman, this is completely ordinary cis people behaviour
Wanting to look like a girl =/= wanting to be a girl.
That you and your ilk are seemingly unable, or just willfully ignorant, to understand the contradiction and clash with what you just said is both sad and hilarious. You're the people oppressing others and pigeonholing them into roles based on their interests the most.
Are all crossdressers transgender? Are all tomboys transgender? On the same breath you talk about how we must push for acceptance, alternative lifestyles, that everyone should like what they like no matter if it's "for boys" or "for girls" and what-not you push this crap. Without an ounce of shame at that, too.
Truly disgusting behavior.

You make it seem like it is prohibited for anyone but trans ppl to crossdress on the norm.
Yes, it is very rare for someone to do it otherwise, but that is exactly because of reactions like yours stigmatizing it. It is also why it is so despicable when universally liked symbols gets co-opted by movements and given a strong connotation (crosses, swastikas, rainbows, X's, and to repeat the first one, any cool symbol christianity decided to label as satanic). People who don't engage with the movement will avoid said symbols because it would be too much hassle to handle all the ppl misunderstanding you as an activist (particularly as there will be ppl who hate those movements and start targetting you)

Well, wanting to be a woman and wanting to look like a woman is actually different no matter how similar they might look in people's eyes.

I'm not the same but I always try to look androgynous. Its just a choice of fashion. I was never uncomfortable being a boy or wanted to be a girl. I'm not really the same as them but I guess the mindset is pretty similar. Just a choice of looks is all. Being trans is beyond just looking the part, its wanting to actually be the other gender.
I took it more to be that the older brother in this story just like looking cute and frilly. Not any desire to look like a woman (or be a woman), or anything connected to gender whatsoever (anikis decision takes place before gendered connotations are even factored in). So while you aren't wrong (looking like A vs being A are indeed different things), it doesn't seem applicable to this character to me? It's just like how someone might prefer ripped jeans (to look punk and edgy), vs how someone might prefer a suit (to be dressed smart and look professional)

Nothing like forcing your kid to accept some ideology while not accepting that he doesn't want to be a part of it.
You gotta have the reading comprehension skills of a 3 year old if you think that the par

i agree with this (for the most part):
Wanting to look like a girl =/= wanting to be a girl.

everything else in yous twos reply to that person - who frankly was justified to say what they did based on the absolute deluge of manga that exist where ""crossdressers"" constantly talk about having feelings only trans people have - is whiny poopoo baby bullshit. wipe your tears and shut it, nerds.

It's ok if you like boys. There's no need for mental gymnastics to think they're women so you don't feel gay. I promise.

Honestly thought the translator went rogue and started injecting politics into this. Turns out this was the author's doing. Weird to see this stuff seep into Japan, even a little.
