@SilentWInd , That's something I call the "Vegeta Effect" in the manga/anime world.
Simply put, you have this evil dude who destroyed whole planets and enslaves whole civilization for an even more evil jack-butt and, once he start doing the "right" thing, everyone turn a blind eye to his murderous past as soon as an idiot, who everyone KNOWS he's an idiot, decide to believe in him because... guts feeling.

Not only Vegeta has been evil for a LONG time, but he did all his evil deed a grin on his face that put his smile when Trunk, his first born son, to shame.
