That was a nice hug and ear ruffling. I welcome all positive development between Kazami and Liz.

Sooo dragons are just naturally toxic to creatures in this world but Shingo is gonna be immune, that is the impression I got at least.

So Shingo is not gonna relent until he gets another girl killed is he?
Just remember, this kind of stupid high handed moralistic view is what got the bunny killed.

@boag I'd agree but you also have to remember this is the reason he was even brought to this world in the first place, its his job. Both Shingo & Liz have point there is for more to this then they're seeing, and Liz is in the right to be worried, there are always going to be risks and its good that Liz reminded him of that. I love that it isn't clear cut in what they should do here and why I ship Liz and him they have good chemistry.

@boag You can't get anything done if you are always afraid of losing. You could say the reason he was summoned to that world is stuff like this. Furthermore, in a more primitive society like that, it's very important to throw your weight around. The further back you go in history and human development, the more important people are, the less important everything else in the society. So, even if you are a king, if you act like a sheep, you will only get endless plots against you. That's why it's of great importance for Kazami to stick to his own plans, as long as he wasn't, verifiably, wrong about some facts. In this case nobody could prove him wrong, the opposing views were all mere beliefs voiced. If he isn't his own man, he will become a tool for the nobles and others, and, in fact, Liz wouldn't respect him either. She's a wolf/dog person, so she will only respect an alpha.

Yeah... Figured the manga would follow whatever shingo wants. That seems to be the format of the entire series. It kind of makes the whole bunny girl dying pointless if he's just going to recklessly plunge into fights. But oh well...

@boag I agree with you. At this point, he either get another one killed, or the manga will go the shitty harem Isekay route... Usually, I am all for the fluffy stuff, but right here, right now, this manga need another death, or at least a really serious injury where the protagonist has nothing to do with the saving.

The situation the bunny girl died in is WAY different than this though, so I don't see why people are trying to make the comparison.
@boag how does this situation compare to that during the hydra? During the hydra they were acting more like a raiding party, as in they were all trying to figure out a way to kill the hydra since it they assumed it was the source of the infection. MC didn't insist everyone go to a fight they were against; they all knew they were putting themselves at risk but were doing so for the safety of a whole city. I don't see where the "stupid high handed moralistic view" played a role there. And yeah, he's being kind of high handed in this situation though, but others already explained why he needs to be like that.
@Beregorn What is this attitude? He explained how he might be able to approach the dragon due to his traits as an isekai-d person, are you hoping that this is the kind of story where he keeps failing and causes deaths? Or do you think he should have not taken risks here? Why does he need to suffer failures rather than have a 'fluffy' save-the-dragon experience, especially when his vet instincts are telling him this could be saved?

@TrueWarriorJak I read the comments and I have been paying attention. However, what I feel or get out of the series is going to be different. We have different opinions. Enjoy. :)

However, I think I'll look elsewhere. It's interesting but just not enough to keep my interest.

@Arythazin
He insisted to go down into the caves himself, which at the time was the correct course of action, but once they entered teh hydras cave he again insisted on checking out wtf it was instead of allowing the party to scout ahead, he became dead weight in the fight which forced the bunny girl to die to protect him.

Him going the route of the "I CARE FOR ANIMULS" and pushing his party to confront the merc while the fucking dragon looms is not only stupid but should also get one of his members killed, which I assume wont happen cause the author will force the plot to bend to the whims of the MC.

@boag Bunny girl died because they were ambushed, and she didn't push MC out of the way or anything. It was just unfortunate that everyone else was nearby someone who could make a barrier, or could hide by nearby rocks etc; bunny girl was out in the open and got blasted as a result. I also hope you read the chapter again, because he did NOT insist going into the caves by himself; the slave brigade said they would go into the waterways to investigate since that is where the suspected ghoul infection is coming from, and Shingo says he will go since he needs to properly disinfect the area so that anyone else who goes would not catch the parasite again. And then they go find the hydra --> Shingo suggests they blow up a bit of the ceiling so they don't have to fight it head on --> he suggests they don't bother it since its a legendary dragon, and due to the situation it should finally die on it's own, meanwhile they should just plug up any more exits --> skeletons show up and they prepare for combat, while Shingo backs off a bit --> Shingo notices activity from the Hydra and tells everyone to take cover --> people put up barriers and get under cover, except Bunny girl who dies.

Blaming Shingo for Bunny Girl death in that situation is only technically true in the sense that Shingo has the highest authority of the group, thus he is responsible for everything that happens. But morally blaming him for the Hydra killing the bunny girl just makes no sense, and it almost seems like you haven't read the chapter.

Not saying that the current dragon/merc situation and him butting in like this is pretty dangerous by itself, but that whole part about the hydra seems completely different from what I read.
