Just like others have thought already, when I heard ALIENS were in involved in this, I was like...Borrito? Before even starting this, I did not expect it would have anything to do with JJK, just its own thing without no ties to JJK. I get it is going to be short, and we only got one chapter for now... I just dk how I feel about this.

It’s been 68 years since the Culling Game. In 2086, an alien race known as the Simurians arrives on Earth in a colossal spaceship. The fate of the world lies in the hands of two jujutsu sorcerers, Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu. As ancient curses meet otherworldly technology, an unprecedented chaos begins to unfold.

Just finished Chapter 1 and I have to say, it was a solid opening. The balance between action, character moments, and world setup was really well handled. I’m curious though, what did you guys think about the way the main character was introduced? Do you think their personality will change as the story progresses

Solid opening chapter actually.

I wonder if they gonna reveal Sukuna or Gojo is related to the aliens and that's they have anomaly level of strength.

I expect Yuji to be the Gojo of this era too.

Aliens ruined the world of Naruto, can GG pull this one off? idk... but it was announced as a short term series so is not like it really matters beyond fanservice

Disagree to this idea, when things end then the future is left up to so many possibilities, if the continuation is great, also good, but if the continuation is bad or stupid, then it can taint what you previously enjoyed. Like all those reboots that make the heroes later life miserable.

Yup like how they nerfed naruto and the others, what they did with star wars and time skips where the protagonist is just a lonely hobo.
But this one did one genius move, they time skipped like 80 years lol whatever the people do now or think, it has little to do with the previous characters, they're all most likely dead

The start looks nice enough, a little more lighthearted maybe, but given how was JJK mid story onwards I don't have much faith in this one. If they manage to keep the magicbabble more on bay and focus on actual story it could be good. I was pleasantly surprised with Boruto Two Blue Vortex when I didn't give a rat's ass about Boruto and just checked out of morbid curiosity, so this could turn the same for me, but now is just lukewarm and not expecting to get better.

So little actual worldbuilding in the original manga, he had to pull out the aliens card. 👨‍🦼

And so badly executed. At least in Naruto the alien card was pulled after years of buildup, here it's like the author didn't want to think too much and reading Dragon Ball said ehhhh why not it's good enough.
