Had to look up this, one of the first comments from the title page I read was just "garbage" with zero input as to why. It's a shounen Ai with Crossdressing, but it appears to be more serious than others I've seen around, obviously people with nothing but hate came there along with those who are truly interested. I can't offer any advice other than just report it and wait.

@Richman It's a trap manga with some real life psychological elements and social issues mixed in. Not bad, but I can see why some people would find the "nonbinary" talk unpleasant. Well, they can all be encouraged to leave after the first chapter. People like different things. Just saying something is garbage isn't enough to qualify as hate, though. But the gender bender/crossdressing/trap tag should have been enough to let them know what they are walking into, lol.

Personally, I think that part of the duty to preserve free speech is to ensure that means such as on internet forums, marketing, etc. all keep the values underlying through out.

If you have the right to speak freely, but you are not able to express such thoughts through any means without a larger entity shutting you down, then you de facto no longer have the right to free expression, just as if you are denied the right to shop everywhere and are no longer able to get food, you are still facing discrimination.

In that sense, I really dislike when people justify censorship by saying that people are not entitled to a platform within an open forum with little-to-no barriers to entry and I also think people have an unspoken duty to allow others to speak, even if they disagree, as an unwritten social golden rule. It's similar in my mind to saying that you can't discriminate against people from visiting certain establishments or being in certain areas based on religion, ethnicity, or race, as it violates the unwritten equal protection clause that underpins our society and ensures we all get fair treatment.

Then again, this is probably my anti-corporate bias kicking in.

Also, this dude was clearly lying. I took a look at the comment section of the manga in question. While I myself am not really onboard with the nonbinary talk, I don't care if someone is trans or whatever, as long as they aren't annoying to deal with. Most of the comments I've seen are:
- People who like it
- People who find the MC annoying, and for a legit reason
- People who simply said they don't like it, as with every other manga
- People who go over the top and bash it and bring it politics talk
The last kind of comments are moderated pretty quick. So to say that the staff members don't care is clearly lying, or this dude wants to ban all the comments that say anything that isn't praise about the manga.

Personally, I've Kamiya-blocked people who I find annoying even if their comments weren't against the rules. For example, some dude with fragile masculinity couldn't understand why a character was struggling and kept saying that "he should grow some balls", which simply showed me he was just lacking empathy. All the arguments he had with the other commenters also showed his lack of understanding.

Do that.

Generally the rule of thumb on how to avoid toxic people:
-Avoid people who use pronouns in their bio or who list their race/sex/ethnicity like it's an accomplishment
-Avoid people who have their pfps taken from the She-Ra reboot or from PiCrew with a prideflag in the background
-Avoid people with hate symbols as their pfps
-Avoid people with the default pfp

That will take care of 99% of conflicts

In conclusion, the relationship is possible to mend, you internet dwellers just need to practice some businesslike manners. In my opinion the first step here should be that Mangadex should make the initial approach and after talking things over, the groups should hopefully be amicable to opening the metaphorical door little bit by maybe allowing non-group members to upload their releases. Thus making it a careful first step where the groups are holding off on supporting mangadex directly until you can see how things go this time.
