Perhaps there is some nuance lost in translation, but I thought there were a few humorous things about the writing.

Some of the content is indeed a warning about some danger, but the way it is written is so flowery, vague, and self-referential, that I couldn't help but chuckle thinking about how scatterbrained the author must have been. They spent all that effort to carve this into stone, hiding its true meaning, and using strange rare materials to make it only readable at night, and they're taking tangents to talk about how they crafted it. It'd be like making a self portrait with an explanation of how to paint portraits included in the frame. 🤣

It's certainly not placed there as a warning sign. If it was, it'd be straight forward, not hidden inside riddles, and to the point.
