I think this whole thing would've worked a bit more if Uruma had any inkling of doubt or remorse before the flashback. But of course since he has already killed dozens and not even the parents of his victims have faced him, there should not be any change if this whole thing is about how "he kinda started it, kinda, probably, not completely sure, definitely not 100% his fault".

A good proof of this is if this choking scene was done by ANY other character, it basically changes nothing.

I noticed a lot of the comments before speaking as if they actually excepted justification for Kyou actions. Thing is, no matter what happen then could justify what he has done up to this point. We already knew he was weird off the rip when he literally openly expressed several times how he wants to kill someone just for the hell of it. There no starting point for him, he's always been evil. Kill him now. End this dumb sh*t. Let Azuma and Uruma be happy. I don't think I even want a sequel of this (but if they did I would like it to be more focused on the what their team does and not Uruma's revenge story.)
