So Kyou doesn't feel pain, but does he feel hunger or thirst? If so then Uruma could just find a isolated pit and throw him in it and have Kyou feel himself waste away over the course of several days alone.
Hunger and thirst counts as discomfort and pain imo, so I feel like he’ll just watch himself rot, still not feeling anything

It would be kind of interesting if the author stuck with
"I can't feel pain so you can never torture me and make me suffer so can't have your revenge!"
and then Uruma's just like "oh" and kills him quickly anyway then feels disgruntled until he dies.

but looks like the author is going to introduce Kyou not feeling pain just to cancel it with Uruma's tears and give us the torture scene we expected before anyway.

the issue is that even if he did that I would still feel disappointed like... all that story for that...

Now watch for a hundred chapters of bad guy murdering people brutally, while MC just stands there and pities him.

If there is no make up sex in next few chapters - and I mean the gayest shit possible - I will cure myself of the sunken cost fallacy and drop this.

Well, at least my wish to see his smug face break apart is gonna get granted. At this point the best way to torture him is to probably paralyze him from the neck down, and make him live without getting his death's sweet embrace, while agonizing his life long project felt pity for him, and didn't fully turn into a psycho.

This is still mostly not worth it though, for a revenge story, it sure feels dragged out.

Everyone gets phantom pain when reading this. I stopped reading this for a while now, just to skip most of the chapter and see that the antagonist is still alive and winning in the end. I really don't care how it ends at this point. Just end it.

This manga will forever be the worst written revenge story in fiction. The author is literally trying to gaslight us into thinking Kyou should live after all the people he has killed, all the lives he has ruined. I don't care if he doesn't feel pain or seeks death, he doesn't deserve to live or empathy from Shun.
If only things ended at chapter 50-whatever, before the time skip and grandpa's death. It was actually pretty good back then.

it could be somewhat interesting musings about the nature of revenge, stuff like "What, did you do all that expecting some sort of catharsis? A final release to all your anger and vengeance?" doubling as a commentary aimed at readers, who kept reading through this shit expecting... something? All this pain and suffering, was it meaningless because there is no 'satisfying end'? maybe that'll teach us not to waste our time on revenge stuff we don't enjoy if it all hinges on some final reward that has no guarantee of coming.
