This is a milestone chapter! Not only is it the final full chapter in volume 3 (extras still to come), it's also the first chapter that came out after we started fanscanning the series! Which means we've caught up! To where things were back in May! But we shall keep pressing on!

Meanwhile, enjoy a big lore dump, a new antagonist (I'm counting diseases as an antagonist, it's a medical series!), and a new challenger(?), as well. We missed one line pre-upload, and it may take some time to fix, so for those who read it early, just to make it clear if his appearance didn't already, this Gareus fella is one of the four from the Hero's party that defeated Garron and killed the Demon King!

I still think back to Baghra's comments and suspect conspiracy as much as anything. Not sure if that helps or not?
In-series, at least, I guess time will tell.

The adventurer and dungeon concept is fundamentally built upon preferring short-term gains over long-term stability. The only difference is whether you're in a position of authority.

hmm. Is this a monthly release? If so, then I guess we've got another 9 chapters until caught up to raws? (since may was 9 months ago if I'm not mathing wrong)

Unfortunately (for our releases, though not for the series as a whole), it's roughly biweekly. We've done more than have been added to the backlog, but only by the skin of our teeth (latest JP chapter to finish was 43). A lot of the work on upcoming chapters is already done, so I'm hoping we'll be able to catch up more going forward, but seems like whenever stuff starts moving well, we hit other snags, sadly.

This time, we'll manage it. For sure! Maybe...

I imagine this is the sort of arc that brings more exposure to the Hero Party? I don't recall if the Hero Sesame has appeared in any form since the beginning, but so far we've seen the Wizard and now the Fister Mister. Only one that we haven't had info on is the Saint/Cleric/Healer.

Sesame is a clear monstrosity that demons fear and practically turned the tides of the War.
Milly Wizar is a terrible name, but also apparently took on some jerkweed pupils like that Investigator dude.
Gareus looks like he just solo'd an entire dungeon.
By that trend, every member of the hero party's pretty monstrous. But it's also been 20 years, but also in these sorts of stories age doesn't matter until you're like 80.

And we finally see El Domo! And the demon king has a daughter! A very sick daughter!

... Wait. Garron, didnt Tina help save three dungeons, not two? The one in the first chapter, the tower one with Mossgora, and then Moonmirror? Though I guess she didnt technically do much in Moonmirror.
Also that Earthpox is some nasty lookin rot. And that hero at the end is handsome but I dunno if I like the idea he's still around. Hope he doesnt figure out Mikage is a demon and tries to whack him...
... I hope the water dungeon can be salvaged somehow. I've always liked underwater temples.
