I thought Para just hinted that she could read minds, but no one else is mentioning it. Did I read too much into her comment on thoughts?

Well, tbh, Para said that after we had a non-stop talk between her and Miki. Since we don't see pauses and Miki thinking in between their lines, I can only suppose Miki spoke her thoughts out and Para is commenting on that.
So even if you're right, I wouldn't count that as a foreshadowing, only if there're some flashbacks to explain.
