even outside of the smut being cut out, they completely rewrote the main character to be boring as sin

like, from the title you'd expect him to just be a little misunderstood, he's just a normal guy who's having a hard time making friends, once he's in the new world the new environment helps breaks him out of his shell...
no, no he's actually a complete weirdo, he never remembers people's names and always gives them nicknames based on whatever his current train of thought is, and his train of thought bleeds into his conversations constantly so people are always getting lost talking to him because he's not talking to anyone, he's talking to himself, and that's hilarious

they cut all his weirdness out of the manga, he's just a normal guy now, which makes the long running gag of never referring to anyone by name utterly bizarre, cause nobody is even annoyed by never being called by name

Does he go full on harem orgy every other town or something? That's a pretty sharp turn from the "nothing ever happens because MC is an emotional blackhole" setup we currently got going on.

it is a sharp turn! part of the reason I ended up reading 1100 chapters is cause I wanted to see what kind of insane setup they go with next. there is never a "new normal" because once this series turns insane it's never normal again
