Yeah not sure why he is second guessing himself now, the only real worry is if they start running out of food and/or bad personality slaves getting summoned. There isn't a direct danger he hasn't been able to deal with and housing dilemma was solved by the addition of dwarf smith magic. There are little other problems save for only summoning a single member from a family of slaves, but it does seem to ask for consent before the summon anyway...even if he doesn't know it. All in all, weird to question anything at this point.

"Not helping someone responsibly" is feeding someone with symptoms of long-term starvation solid foods immediately.

I'm pretty damn sure there's no moral hazard here. Especially when (a) there's consent by those he already rescued their conditions were horrible (b) the skill itself disclosed the moral alignment of what it considered "rescue".

I'm with essensue on this. MC is a self-righteous idiot. And author/editor/manga artist flubbed the "Wangst".

If you need to introduce moral complexity to your bullshit fantasy slavery

I just read the WN reviews on NU, and might suggest you do to get idea of what to expect from here.

The mc basically: 'being a slave is better than living with me in a small house'
That isn't the argument being presented. The argument presented is "being a slave is not necessarily worse than being transported to the middle of a wasteland to toil on the land with a bunch of strangers when you have no idea that's what you're agreeing to."

I'm not convinced that's a better argument, or even a particularly good one, but that's what the argument is.

the artist knows what he was doing, if someone ask why was stuck on that page for ten minutes, just remember she is an adult dwarf
Remember guys:
Loli is a body type not an age.
And even so, there are people in ther 20s and 30s who could still pass as teenagers.

If Lydia keeps acting jealous because of the skill, she'll end up looking petty. I get that this is supposed to be comedic, but purposely limiting Alex's potential to do good and slowing down the development of the land over that is dumb.
With what they have on site and the guild's support they can surely handle a couple dozen villagers.

the mc is not really making sense like getting someone that was a slave and bringing them to him is something that would be life changing to them even if they do have to do some kinda work for him and thats mainly because the mc would treat them a lot better than where they was at

with that said i am loving Nina

I really wish Nina or someone would explain why an open mine is better than a tunnel mine.
i only can guess for Nina that an open mine is somehow safer than a tunnel mine since it won't crumble too easily. but i can see the problem if it rains or snows.. it will make the mining harder perhaps?
I am gonna ramble about stuff I do not know but from an outsider's perspective, an open mine is a bit better since they are in nowhere near any mountains from what I can remember. If there is, with how little manpower they have, there is a risk of letting Nina travel on her own between the mines and their house. An open mine is just there near their house, it ain't a perfect option but it is a quick one at the moment.
