Can't go back, the portal is one way, unless you make an appointment for a specialized technician to come out and summon you over. The Guild associated tech has a several month backlog, so if they send in the request now, they may get a tech around to that guild branch sometime next year.

Very minor word choice issue; I know they can be interchangeable, but hanged is almost exclusively used to refer to someone that was executed by hanging. Hung would be the more accurate use since it is more commonly used for objects like the jerky.

Man I'm glad that Ellie finally joined.
Honestly, the early part really bothered me because he kept focusing on the hero. Like after finding out he lied, was MC really not curious what Ellie was thinking? Especially when the guild told him that she's eager to help.
Heck, was he not worried at all leaving his childhood friend with a liar? Did he really trust the hero more?
So, I'm really relieved that Ellie straight up went there this chapter.

Yeah, the "they lied" made me even more annoyed at MC.

I'm sure the original Japanese simply doesn't have a subject. I think it should just mean "he lied".
But honestly, because MC didn't think about Ellie at all, I couldn't be sure whether he thought both of them fooled him.

I don't think there is even a hiatus, they are probably getting confused with how the magazines get published and next chapter dates at the end of it (as chapter 16 say that next chapter is on december issue, but that magazine issue got published like today), since chapter 17 is already out in the magazine, chapter 18 is scheduled for next month on january issue (they even changed it so you know when january issue get published lol)

That aside, the website is behind a few hours from the magazine release too, chapter 17 there should be out in like 1 hour (12 jst)
