it HAD ingredient to be great series. china inspired supernatural fantasy action is not something you see everyday. the character interaction also fun, but somehow it's felt never engaging and didn't offer anything meaningful or memorable. 6/10

Different publishers which means different standards and requirements for continuing. Usually the more popular the magazine the more strict it gets... for these jump magazines it gets rough as hell, live or die by weekly polling. I think everyone by now has multiple series that have gotten axed by shueisha they can't forgive. (My biggest peeve is Double Arts, same magazine as this one).

The long ass running mangas are usually monthly in lesser known magazines or ones more willing to take risks.
