Oh my. Thanks! That's what I get for doing this til 2amYay ty! Kinda funky that the last 4 pgs of the prev subch are here as well tho. Also pg20 “Steinhardo” -> you forgot to remove the o.
doing god's work; thanks for filling the gaps!Oh my. Thanks! That's what I get for doing this til 2am
Edit: Forgot to address. For the 4 pages, it was like that in the raws. Was weird but eh, I'll just follow according to what the author wants. Flashback pages I assume?
Whoa that's encouraging! Glad I could make an impact on the reading flow as a fellow reader too. Thanks for filling the gap. I just started reading this today and it was nice not having any interruption.
So... would you consider continuing on? Silas hasn't touched this series in a year and most other chapters are 4+ years old. I think it's safe to say that no one else is coming to pick the series up right now.
Thats fine, gaps like this suck, they kill so many mangas, which often feels like the intention of the ones who make the gaps. I never skip past them so have been waiting for anyone to close the gap. Its just one of the shityest moves making a gap and then leaving the manga to rot, so many never get picked back up from it. So its great to get any work on it at all, even better if its continuing.Whoa that's encouraging! Glad I could make an impact on the reading flow as a fellow reader too.
I am interested in continuing since, I want to read it too! But I can't promise since life can be unpredictable. Since I'm doing this solo+complete newbie on this, each chapter takes me around 4-6 hours for now. Might be faster as I'm getting used to it. My trait of not half-assing stuff also makes me take time doing it so there's that![]()

Normally they do that to remind the reader of what had happened, but usually 1-2 pages. 4 is a somewhat unorthodox amount.Oh my. Thanks! That's what I get for doing this til 2am

It's kind of weird that it happened here because while Silas has always had some... "quirks" in his work like batch releases and then months of nothing, bailing on works with no warning, or the fact that randomly shifting character name/noun spellings heavily suggest that the backbone of his translation is MTL that gets little smoothing out, I don't remember him ever just outright skipping chapters in series that he was plugged into doing a lot of chapters of.
I don't think that this was meant maliciously or intended to kill the series. It feels more like it was just a lack of care or concern.

Ah yeah wasn't really talking this case. Most cases I have seen its done while two translators fight over the series, and then one does a batch with a gap, and keeps going for a while ignoring the skip. this leaves the other translator playing catch up if they close the gap letting the first one get a significantly ahead. It's kind of weird that it happened here because while Silas has always had some... Yikes, not sure what's the point in that tho unless it's just to promote their own site for paywall.Ah yeah wasn't really talking this case. This case is much more odd. And yes Silas is for sure MTL, and the chapters show it. They can be rather rough.
Also wow MD, I forgot to hit post on this, closed the page and left. Came back the next day do to a reply notification, and found my comment still here unposted just waiting for the post button. I don't know how to feel about that it does that.
Yeah its mostly for monopolizing donations, but also can be a pride thing. Them seeing the series as theirs. Its this same pride that often prevents translators from caring about filling the gap, many that pick up the series will ignore the gap and continue after it. Leaving a permanent roadblock for readers unwilling to skip chapters.Yikes, not sure what's the point in that tho unless it's just to promote their own site for paywall.
Honestly I have no idea how to tell if something is MTL or not since I just turn off my brain and read and not lose the whole story + as long as the English is good! XD
Yeah MD does that. I accidentally reload the page once and it still stores whatever we typed. Convenient for accidents.
Oh cool, thanks for the analysis! Guess I'm a nightmare for those who want donations HAHAHA! This will help me keep in mind when I proofread multiple times. When you read my chapters, do you see any of that? Although I check a lot, but I still made some minor mistakesYeah its mostly for monopolizing donations, but also can be a pride thing. For MTL, the biggest give away is flipped gender pronouns he and her. As well losing track of who is speaking, if something clearly said to one character is translated as being said by them instead. Those are the more mild tells.
But Silas not only has those, but many of the sentence just don't even make sense. He barley proofreads making it blatantly obvious its a barley edited MTL.
Yeah it is, I am more just shocked it kept it for more than a day.
Your fine, if anything it was very jarring going from yours translation to theirs, may even be worth you just redoing and replacing theirs, the quality gap is very large.Oh cool, thanks for the analysis! Aww thanks man. Appreciate it. I thank the paid ver of ChatGPT too! XDYour fine, if anything it was very jarring going from yours translation to theirs, may even be worth you just redoing and replacing theirs, the quality gap is very large.
Hey if you don't mind i can do redraws for you, i like this part of the process.Aww thanks man. Appreciate it. I thank the paid ver of ChatGPT too! XD
I would if I could, but with my approaching busy schedule, I'd rather prioritise pumping out new chapters to read on when I can. Just finished a chapter. Redrawing = 7 hours. No redrawing = 4 hours. My average timing. May improve but we'll see. Not going to proceed with redrawing anymore, too mentally and time consuming x.x
Whoa sure! You can add my Discord "inznite".Hey if you don't mind i can do redraws for you, i like this part of the process.

Ah no, GDS does a very different approach,. They translate then sit on chapters as a stockpile so that they can outpace anyone who tries to take over the series, theirs is a stall as long as they can on releasing, despite translating at a reasonable pace. The gap approach is typically when both groups try to release as quick as they can.Ahh. So basically what Galaxy Degen does. There is one series I know of (but can't remember the name) where that was happening. I just stick to reading the other group's stuff when they put it up and ignore GD pushing ahead by 2 or 3 chapters every time it gets close.
