Thanks for filling the gap. I just started reading this today and it was nice not having any interruption.

So... would you consider continuing on? Silas hasn't touched this series in a year and most other chapters are 4+ years old. I think it's safe to say that no one else is coming to pick the series up right now.

Whoa that's encouraging! Glad I could make an impact on the reading flow as a fellow reader too.

I am interested in continuing since, I want to read it too! But I can't promise since life can be unpredictable. Since I'm doing this solo+complete newbie on this, each chapter takes me around 4-6 hours for now. Might be faster as I'm getting used to it. My trait of not half-assing stuff also makes me take time doing it so there's that

It's kind of weird that it happened here because while Silas has always had some... "quirks" in his work like batch releases and then months of nothing, bailing on works with no warning, or the fact that randomly shifting character name/noun spellings heavily suggest that the backbone of his translation is MTL that gets little smoothing out, I don't remember him ever just outright skipping chapters in series that he was plugged into doing a lot of chapters of.

I don't think that this was meant maliciously or intended to kill the series. It feels more like it was just a lack of care or concern.

Normally they do that to remind the reader of what had happened, but usually 1-2 pages. 4 is a somewhat unorthodox amount.

Yeah it was weird for me too, honestly I was just following the raws available in the internet since so I can't say I'm 100% sure if they were meant to be packaged together. But hey, at least we get to read it!

Your fine, if anything it was very jarring going from yours translation to theirs, may even be worth you just redoing and replacing theirs, the quality gap is very large.

I would if I could, but with my approaching busy schedule, I'd rather prioritise pumping out new chapters to read on when I can. Just finished a chapter. Redrawing = 7 hours. No redrawing = 4 hours. My average timing. May improve but we'll see. Not going to proceed with redrawing anymore, too mentally and time consuming x.x

Ahh. So basically what Galaxy Degen does. There is one series I know of (but can't remember the name) where that was happening. I just stick to reading the other group's stuff when they put it up and ignore GD pushing ahead by 2 or 3 chapters every time it gets close.

Ah no, GDS does a very different approach,. They translate then sit on chapters as a stockpile so that they can outpace anyone who tries to take over the series, theirs is a stall as long as they can on releasing, despite translating at a reasonable pace. The gap approach is typically when both groups try to release as quick as they can.
