I cant help but think that the story and the comedy would be a lot better and more fun if MC were to stop being full retard. Author could at least make him just smart enouth to understand that things are realy happening, because as of now he is the most retarded character i ever saw.
The dude is supposed to be extremely smart but is not capable of understanding that his minion are actualy doing things and fighting for real, after he kill dozen of their member... Fighting in such organisation is supposed to be his "dream".
Well, it's a great way to make the story last longer.

You know... It's not that I don't enjoy the manga. But the fact that there's not even a hint as to why Cid is as powerful as he is, it's kinda sad. Or did I miss something?
from what we know it is reincarnation shenanigans, in his past life he was extremelly chuuni (that is, he fantasize his whole life) and trained to the limit of humanly possible and... I believe it was implied he either was a victim of the first magical invaders or was one of the first to see them come but was hit by a truck-kun while investigating.

Then on his new life he kept going chuuni, but in this life he is just doing it for the bit, trying to live it as much as he can... and just happens that "the bit" is actually real for everyone but him.

My guess is his "reincarnation power" is some sort of divination, with some weird cassandra truth block so he does not notice how everything is right. I mean, he just... threw a knife on a map and said mysterious lines, and in the end that location was 100% right?

As I said above, I think this big denial thing may be the other side of the coin of his power of "always pushing things to the right path".

He just made a full 180 in his point of view.
Before he believed in magic powers in the real world and kept searchign for them, and believed himself to be stealthy despite being a wall of muscles from all his training.
Now, everything is just people playing pretend.

Does english has something similar to our "8 or 80"? He has no middle ground, either it is all real or nothing is. And on the exact opposite world.

Cid had been physically training since his Past life, and all that knowledge helped him physically developed faster in the Other World.

As for Magic training, as Cid had mental consciousness since he was born, he probably started his Magic training since his infancy as soon as he learned about it's existence (which is probably much faster than what normally is done).

Plus the fact that he is a descendant of the Human Hero (similar to Olivier, who is the Elf Hero), he also carries Diablos bloodline (proven by the fact that Claire, his sister was affected by Possession once).
Even-though the bloodline primarily affects the Female descendants more, but it probably does provide some benefits to the Male descendants as well (no confirmation on it yet though).

Apparently she's not as smart as Delta.
If you mean Zeta, then no she is smarter than Delta.
But she is not really the type to give 100% on anything, and is sort-off narrow-minded causing her to miss the bigger picture.

It makes sense. But still. At first I thought he was kinda like Haruhi, so I've been waiting for the Kyon and Nagatoro-like characters to explain everything and why it must be kept a secret from him.

This also makes sense, but the "no confirmation" is what gets me.

Screw it, guess I'll have to binge the novel. I'll report later :salute:

Either that, or all of Cid's actions is manipulated by some External God-like Being, who is probably the cause of spread of Magic in different Worlds.

Remember during the Black Rose Arc, it was said that Magic originally didn't exists in the Other World and was introduced there from some alien source.
The same happened with Earth as well after Cid died in his previous life.

There is a good chance that the current world is actually Future Earth after Cid was kissed by Truck-kun, and Aurora was the original being that "crashed" on Earth in the past and introduced magic to it.

Sort of like Lavos in Chrono Trigger.

Well, that's certainly one way to completely miss the point of the manga...
