Can't help but feel like shadow garden is going out of control.

and the other faction going cult mode to extract the longevity of the demon lord.

Millia's father was a collaborateur of the cult, the one who kidnapped Claire at the beginning of the story.

Millia herself showed up first as a deformed monster when Alexia was kidnapped and then again in the underground arena when Cid was roleplaying as Jack.
