If Gamma is her granddaughter then it means Gamma became a meatball at like 3 years old, which is pretty unhinged in its own right.

Gamma just never putting it together because she was too young but Grandma clocking her on sight would be a hell of a thing, actually.

Edit: Gamma getting meatballed back when she was a toddler would explain so much. She's a catastrophic klutz because she practically never learned how to move.

Ah... A small moment of actual humanity in the middle of a power fantasy. The "demon possession" has always been described as a tragedy for the girls affected by it, but it is rare to see this manga acknowledge the other side of that tragedy on the families of those girls (both in terms of loss of reputation and the trauma of losing a young family member).

Probably is an artist goof as you can also see they're much higher up the head than ears usually are too.

She is an elf, her ancestor from Olivier's party is shown to have a similar hair colour in the Apocrypha storyline.

It's not about elves in general not having black hair. It's about the elves in that particular family not having black hair which leads them to claim she's a product of infidelity.

Edit: The ones originally making the claim were her mom's political opponents trying to discredit her, but the hair thing made it more convincing for the general public.

Huh, is part of the confusion is that this is contradicting the Master of Garden game?

I don't know how involved the EoS writer is with the game, but he's credited as the writer for this spin-off manga. So if the manga contradicts the game, that may be a deliberate retcon/correction.
