So, is this an original adaptation of the Kagerou Daze storyline? I watched the anime and it seems to be quite different from this.

@Klaurem The story revolts around parallel universe/rewinds, with the originals being the vocaloid song series Kagerou Proyect were the song Lost Time Memories shows it the best. So the songs themself shows more than one storyline, the LNs another, then the manga another and the anime is currently the last line to start (the manga being the only storyline that hasn't ended yet).

@Klaurem all of the stories are set in different timelines. The Vocaloid songs by jin were the OG timeline, each song tells a different story about each character and gives us backstories on their history and red eye ability. The songs are technically the "right" timeline however it's quite confusing to recognize which order to listen them to, however there is a correct order were eventually listening to one order of ssongs leads to a bad timeline and the other everyone is free and happy and growing old and stuff like that.

Honestly Jin has made one hellvua story line and its amazing on how much he did all of this with a vocaloid at that.

Useful thread that DANDAN started about reading/watching order and whatnots: "Question about Kagerou Daze": https://mangadex.org/thread/54294

The songs, manga, and anime all have different aspects that I like about them. But for the manga in particular, I really loved the way the Yuukei Yesterday arc was adapted.

EDIT: btw, Bookwalker has English translations (official Yen Press version) up to chapter 59: https://global.bookwalker.jp/series/75663/

Alright you people.

After a lot of discution with a old scanlation friend of mine, we decided we'll take whenever we will have enough time together ch. 60 to 70...

Kagerou daze is on my top 5 universes, alongside Watamote and it always hurted deeply to see the manga didn't complete.
My priority is always to support the artist, but since Kagerou Daze is foremost a internet product, and considering for how long it's been around now, I guess completing it is fine.

We also found the chapters 46 to 59 in english on another scan site, and we will reupload them here whenever we're ready.

love how fast this goes from "a hikkikomori vocaloid producer and Hatsune Miku's funny antics" to "CHARACTERS FROM DURARARA WITH SNAKE EYE POWERS AND STEINS GATE TIME LOOPS"

I started rereading this recently because I hadn't read it in a long time, nor had I finished it, and I gotta say I have no clue what's going on. It feels like the story just jumps around and does whatever it wants. Like, it's one thing to use flashbacks to foreshadow stuff, but
for Ene's old friend to suddenly come back and then start killing everyone with no warning is a bit much. Plus, immediately after that, it seems to jump back in time, something totally different happens at the store, and now they don't know the eye people, and they seem to be the villains (I'm only partway through, no clue what's going happen).
its just so hard to follow.

To my understanding, the timelines are as follows (according to the wiki anyway)

Manga (here, after the reset(?). Many things are different here. Shintaro gains his Retaining Eyes.) -> Music (MVs, timeline ending in Outer Science. everyone dies) -> Manga (here, before the reset, everyone dies again) -> Novels (Timeline reset due to most of the Dan in the Daze) -> Anime (Mekakucity Actors, the only timeline with a good ending.)

It says it's completed, is this true for the english translation? Would I have to read the spinoffs? Is there an official english translation for those? Where are they?

@WeeBDestroyer We didn't give up on this, but we're still chained by external factors, even worst than what made us stop last year.
I wish 2020 would go faster so that we'd be done with our loose ends and be back in translation already, especialy since we CAN translate the remaining ~15 chapters, and we eventually will, but what we lack the most is time, especially considering we will need to clean up the ugly watermark the french put up on their scans.

Please keep a watchfull eye for the update.
