This villain isn’t nearly fun or interesting enough to be given this much focus.

As if MHA were the ones to invent it, this has been used to extenuation. Still, I kinda like this manga. Easy story, decent action shots, nice pace and speed, it's entertaining.
Idk man
Yakuza kidnapping a vaguely autistic little girl to torture her because of her regenerative powers so the shonen protagonist has to save her doesnt sound very common to me

Yeah hes insanely bland
Hes just a random thug thats really really strong for no reason as far as we know
Bomb guy was a way better character and he just got lose thread'ed
Also whats up with his eyes? Is he constantly rolling them up into his skull? It looks so weird

When you combine them it doesn't sound very common, but its actually made up of two common plot points:

1. Yakuza kidnapping a girl that MC has to save

2. Vaguely autistic little girl that has special power and end up getting experimented

I think it just coincidence since there plenty stuff in that MHA arc that is not here such as the glasses guy predicting terrible future, Mirio's role and existence, or League of Villains.
