Not sure if giving away your WMD-in-a-sword to government agents is the right way to go, at least here they're a bit more competent than your usual Shonen's allies.

Also glad that they don't give anymore attention to Kyora here. He had his spotlight in the last chapter, now he's just a dead body that don't need to give any last words (something many other mangas often do).

A little worried, ngl. I like the direction. Every thing has enough reason behind to back it; no none sense like, 'yeah, join us', but it's out of bargaining as the best option both sides have out of the situation, but it also feels mundane in a way. I fear the rating will dies down...

How do I put it? this manga feels like a good manga, but doesn't feel special, I guess? This kind of manga got axed often, that's what I fear.

Nice way showing the parallel of Chihiro and Hakuri of both losing their father. The latest development is staple is shounen genre but these recent chapters gives me optimism it can be good.

This manga's pacing rarely (if ever) drags however, which is often the cause of lowered interest.

It feels run of the mill shonen stuff, but what slightly sets it apart is the entire cast acted more sensible compared to others; MC is the usual revenge-driven protagonist that cares about people but he often have to juggle between unraveling the mystery vs compassionate act and he had his fair-share when he acted smartly or driven by emotion, with neither side more prominent than the other. His non-government allies are generally competent in their own expertise, and more importantly know when to let Chihiro take the spotlight if his skills are better at the moment (while still supporting him, of course). Villains so far are the only one that falls to the specific archtypes, but they at least were fleshen out a little more and also without giving blatant favoritism for certain villains (for now).

It's a familiar read, but the flavor is slightly different enough.

Ratings have massively improved the last month or so, it's now nowhere near the axe. https://www.jajanken.net/en/issues/latest
It does feel a bit too bland to be a top 3 manga, but other that that I think it'll do just fine if it continues like this.

Glad to hear that. I heard it was risky before, and I felt like the standard stay quite the same, which doesn't mean it was bad, just wouldn't expect rating improvement if it was risky before. This series feels more and more solid each chapter; I'd want it to go on until its own proper ending.
