The chapter brought up the way Chihiro inherited his father's eyes for detail, then Chihiro's relationship with his father as comparison to how she may feel about Samura if she had her memories. If the story continues a parallel between these relationships, then she should have talent she's inherited from Samura, so she should be more than just a damsel.
