It doesn't make sense that the samurai (Kagura?) could beat the goddess (Catleya?) Obviously only a Shaman King like ending could hapen, still the final boss should have not died (she's incapable of that as long as she wishes it)

Do we know the random fox youma who made Cattleya hesitate? At least I have no recollection of it (and I don't have the motivation to reread several chapters).

That's it, huh? Since they were ambushed by the villain troop after the casino arc (when Mimi died), almost everything felt needlessly rushed. Like as if the author still had lots of ideas and plans, but the publisher told him "you have ~20 chapters to bring it to an end". What a waste, the setting was interesting, the art is definitely beautiful and several characters felt intriguing in their own way.

I'm not 100% sure everything was the mangaka idea, reason I say that? Editors, doesn't most mangaka gets help from a editor to create the series?
I feel that's very likely because of the sudden swerve to joining Cattleya's organisation, it felt VERY 'Undead Unluck' who had a similar sudden swerve to join an organization that initially attacked them.

And that kind of pattern generally means an editor with a specific plot bunny / favorite plot that influence the manga they touch one after the other.

Not a youma, and you already answered yourself; a random fox
