its a normal Patchwerk bossfight with Floor is Lava Enrage Timer.

Charlotte/Sharon is something around 40 levels below the intended level of the fight. Unfortunately for Elongoa (as well as her Fiancée Frey's Wallet), Charlotte is a World First progression Raider and a No Lifer who played or theorycrafted every class in the game that she could, so Soloing an introductory level raidboss is nothing for her

Only for people uptdodate with the current book: I really hope that the whole next arc gets rewritten. the Holy Empire's Rebellion starts way too early in the narrative to the point it doesnt compositionally flow within the plot in a natural way. Further, the god of Darkness battle kinda just. sucks and needs a complete rewrite.

Google translate for the webnovel has a hilarious issue where Charlotte's oldest brother is exclusively refered to as a lady. I found this error hilarious because it makes everyone sound like theyre making fun of him.

Though it is different enough to work. Items changing battles is nothing new. I mean in FF6 you could use a Phoenix Down on the Boss Phantom Train to instantly win.
Its rare for games to furnish you with all the crafting mats and hints to do the job.

Its even paced in a way to encourage higher burst options with the flame enrage and no monsters in the area.

Its going to be skipped, but theres nothing useful on the bookshelves in game for what Charlotte is doing at the alchemy station. Its only starter level recipes. If she wasnt a World First raider and a No Lifer, she would not be able to muddle through the crafting at 0 Synthesis

also theres not really a ton of available herbs in Elongoa's Paradise besides the Paradise Drops. of which theres 10 per instance

J-Novel Club announced they've licensed this series a few days ago; looks like volume 1 will be released in November.

What are your plans? Continue translating it? Dropping it?
Glad you mentioned this I'll be translating the series until the first volume comes out. Cuz mangadex tos wont allow me to continue this manga even if I wanted to. I do think it's a good thing that it's gonna get official translations as those are 100% higher in quality than my translations since they do it as a job and i do it as a hobby.

Unfortunately there's no rule dictating that. When you do something as a job, unless you are working for some Swiss company only serving millionaires, you are basically working against the clock to make it worth it. You can only use x amount of time to get the job done. Go over it, and you can't do enough work to make the ends meet or it will be too expensive for potential customers. If you do something as a hobby, that's not a factor. You can spend as much time as you need to finish something, reaching the level of quality you desire. The only reason pros often do something better is because they do need a certain level of skill, which all hobbyists might not have, and they have professional tools and circumstances supporting them. That being said, naturally lots of hobbyists aren't trying to reach a high level of quality; it's up to the individual doing it.

That's fair, ig what I was trying to say was that they're better cuz they got more experience and stuff.

Continuing or not is (obviously) up to you, but do note that MangaDex rules do not forbid scanlations of licensed series - they just forbid the upload of the official translations themselves.

Specifically (emphasis added):

1.2 [...] Scans of physical official releases or rips of digital official releases/webcomics from official sources, such as original releases (raws) or officially translated releases, are not allowed to be uploaded.

1.3 Any scanlated release is allowed to be uploaded regardless of the existence of official translations, except under the following restrictions: [irrelevant restrictions omitted]

And that's why we have many licensed series here, and they often even include an "Official English" link after the description (e.g. Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 1, also licensed by J-Novel Club).

I do hope you continue, JNC is not exactly the shiny beacon of translated media unfortunately, but I do get why you wouldn't want to continue.
