I'm loving the new characters, especially Anzu, happy to see the cast and world expanding beyond the core duo after spending the first two volumes killing off many of the new characters as soon as they were introduced.

First confirmed lesbian couple in this series and of course they're feeding people to a man-eating Spectre...

Maybe I missed it in the earlier chapters but does anyone else feel like the amount of fan service panels per chapter is increasing? I know this series is on the edge of the axe blade and its probably the editor's doing but did "Sooty" really need a booty like that?

I don’t think that The False God’s influence spreads THAT far, at least right now, rather The League has kept it contained in the town for centuries. Think of it like Innsmouth or Derry or Silent Hill: sure world ending entities have infested the place, and sometimes their influence leaks out, but unless something actively releases the entity then it doesn’t really move from there.

Think of it like Innsmouth or Derry or Silent Hill: sure world ending entities have infested the place, and sometimes their influence leaks out, but unless something actively releases the entity then it doesn’t really move from there.

These people spoke English. They are not from Japan. From what they said, they hunt down Great One kin across the world, but they can't interfere with the Great One itself. They likely send operatives across the world to cut off problems before they become untenable, but this town is one nexus too infested to save.

In fact, this answers a TON of questions. I kept saying there's no way this town could sustain itself, and how the sheer amount of death and destruction from Specters should have caused SOME attention, and now there's hard confirmation that it in fact DID cause enough attention to get a secret society of hunters investigating, only to find that the situation is too far gone. The Great One is not confined to this town - it simply has too much influence in this local area for people to do anything about it. It's full of Specters / Kin...and only the Paranormal Club has the guts to face off against a Great One.

O flora, of the moon, of the dream. O little ones, O fleeting will of the ancients. Let the hunters be safe, let them find comfort. And let this dream their captor, foretell a pleasant awakening. Be one day, a fond, distant memory...

Timing, aesthetic, and a bombastic first few chapters. Love Bullet being saved came on the heels of several cult yuri being cancelled (Like Princess of the Sylph) and there was a general sentiment in the West that enough was enough, it also has a very unique focus on tacticool and dynamic fire fight scenes you don't see in yuri that much (apart from Otherside Picnic). Inee is also very active on Twitter playing into our memes since she's American.

Except they told Anzu not to investigate the town BECAUSE the god’s main body was there:

“The only ones we are capable of defeating are its servants at best. Never attack the false god’s main body. I knew from the beginning that Yuuyamichou was involved in this case; that’s why I tried to stop you.”

The head of the organisation knew from the beginning about the town, knew that it’s where the false god resided, and tried to stop Anzu from investigating in the first place because they are powerless to stop it.
