I get you. The smaller fights against regular kaiju were interesting and engaging, and didn't overstay their welcome. Instead of letting the protagonist grow naturally, We've been getting Ex-machina after Ex-machina in rapid succession whenever he needs it. There were a lot of things to explore and a ton of characters to work with, but we've been gunning it directly towards major plot points since 9 was introduced.Man this series has completely blown out of scale. Like, Kaiju 9 is STILL the only major villain we've encountered. we must be up to like the tenth "all is lost NO WAIT" moment and like the 5th in this single fight alone. Its too much, ive completely burnt out. Its the same problem bleach had where the big dumb lead hanging out with his friends doing smaller stuff was just more engaging than this endless escalation.
I feel that but I kinda like they haven't kept solving villains and replacing them with bigger badder guys.Man this series has completely blown out of scale. My impression is Kaiju 9 was defeated and this new enemy is the embodiment of evil/kaiju.Man this series has completely blown out of scale.
