So the monster is basically invisible right now until someone (the poor schmucks on the site) lays eyes on it? That's kind of scary, honestly.

Wow this chapter is turning into a thriller with the unknown monster. Remind me of Cell Saga in DBZ.

Wish the brother was with the doctor and his sister at the shrine. He'd likely have recognized the kegyo on pg 28 as depicting the young versions of the first monster they encountered.

When the snow starts speaking Kaiju

Also we should definitely kill Nue

And how and why did the Monster took so long to appear again, there's atleast a hundred or more years gap since their last appearance, was the entrance of the hollow earth collapse back then and unveiled again just recently from an earth quake or something?

Somehow I think there 2 nue, 1 is the one in the folktales that hibernate, and a new one. The appearance of the new nue woke the old nue.

Of all the reasons why, they say it's to rule the world with monsters. Really? The Disney Jurassic World reason?

Yeah it takes me 4 hour of nonstop work translating this 1 chapter
You work so hard for our enjoyment. I'm proud of you.

to readers, here is an interesting thought: "nue" does in fact exist as a monster in Japanese mythology, but it's one of those really obscure ones. Not umi-nue, just nue. Described as a monkey with the tail of a snake (alternatively, a snake FOR a tail), it is a yokai only mentioned once in past times.

Nue has appeared in popular culture, with two examples coming to my mind. The first is Bleach's Renji Abarai, and the personification of his sword Zabimaru, which is a nue (monkey with a snake for a tail). The second is the gacha game Arknights and the character of Utage. Her race is listed as unknown, but she is based on nue, particularly from the legends of Minamoto no Yorimasa. I'm certain other manga also have nue in them, but I haven't read those.

Or you know, Houjuu Nue from the obscure indie game series called Touhou whose whole power is being unknown.

Weyland company’s logic.
They believe they can weaponise it.
Honestly I prefer it was about resources again. The hollow earth theory doesn't just promise ecology but surely a new resource to harvest. That seems more sensible and achievable with stakes varying from management to discoveries.

It’s just greed wanting everything they see as “potential”.

Anyway, Nue is interesting because
It can fly, like a fucking RPG game flying island stage. And it can throw EMP zone, frying all electronics in km range. Scientists are itchy to know how it can do that because it will be revolutionary; while boots on the ground want that thing to just die already.
