Hmm.. I'm thinking that this particular kaiju was an itty-bitty squirt when it crossed the boundary. It probably ate the sunken ships but to end up with just this orochi-snack body is kinda weird.

That weapon is indeed called the Javelin, not sure where the "AK" part is coming in, I was thinking maybe a Cold Weather variant particular to mountain warfare's guys in Alaska would lend it the AK designation and followed it into this manga as the "snow version" that the JSDF uses, but no such thing seems to exist.

Interestingly, a lot of people don't know that the most expensive part of the launcher is that "computer panel" scope called the CLU, and you reload those launchers by attaching new missile tubes to the CLU. We often used the CLU on its own as a thermal camera (like in the manga) for spotting but just leaving the tube off since it was so heavy/awkward.

AHHH, now that I think of it "AK" probably means Anti-Kaiju, since the Javelin is often referred to as Javelin AT for "anti-tank." Hope that helps!

Now I wonder how that guy with broken leg is catching up.
He’s surviving the blizzard because the monster generate heat enough to protect him, right?
But now the monster is trashing around and it’s raining mortar.

Additional reference, the Javelin was extensively used by the Ukrainians against Russian forces. Very likely responsible for a lot of the Russian tank losses.

Anti-Kaiju Javelin is some serious firepower which is good since our smallest kaiju is bigger than the average main battle tank, Raytheon and Lockheed are racking that dollars for sure. Seems like the Carl Gustav is replaced for better firepower upfront though lugging that 20kg+ missile tube would gives back pain in 3 hours time.

Yep, it will be shitty for 1st platoon to find out if they indirectly killed him. By being danger close or simply froze to death before any rescue could come.

Seems like there’s 2 different monsters tbh so he might be with the other one

Every arc is always about evacuating citizens then battling the monster, but author managed to keep things interesting by changing the setting. From cruise ship, urban housing, coastal disaster, and now snowy mountain.

Doesn’t seem to be radioactive.
It just generate heat. But can’t rocket to the sky like Gamera.

And if that one goes to the communication station, he’ll have a reunion with his wife.
