If a global pandemic that kills over 7 million people wasn't enough, I'm not surprised a kaiju outbreak wasn't either. You'd think the threat of annihilation by giant monsters would be enough to let people forget about their differences. But, I guess not. lol
Thanks for the upload.
They probably thought it won't work, the electromagnetic waves that Nue release to surrounding area by flying can reach 5 km to 8 km while the concentration from its fellers is estimated can reach 70 km to 100 km. Quick search say that Modern Warship can shoot as far as 20 km to 30 km with unguided shells, even if they shoot from that range as long as the first volley don't kill it, they will get kill by its concentrated emission form the fellers. So no one wants to try long range bombardment with cannons, sigh
Nue currently has magical "quantum particles" that can rewrite the laws of physics (as the scientists that spoke of antigravity said). They basically work off plot power, until it dies and it can be studied. For the effective distance though.
iinm, horizon is about 20 km away (more because Nue is hovering in low altitude). Nue shooting down air targets are understandable. But what kind of scenario would make it possible for the electric wave to be able to target surface enemies under the horizon? Long distance radio can bounce at the ionosphere and Earth’s surface, but doubt that kaiju's high powered EMP work like that.
