As a guy that went thru school as a delinquent this sort of tugs at my memories a bit. I got to carry a target on my back, but I did learn that a bad rep means most people leave you alone. If that's what you want in life, it makes things easy.
Don't get me wrong, I deserved the isolation. No one wants their son/daughter to hang out with the kid with the reputation of breaking into places, knew how to pick most locks, and hotwire cars. Add where I grew up, minorities that weren't black were tolerated but that was about it. I was basically the poster child of what far-right politics warns everyone against except I was a natural born citizen. Or rather second-class citizen.
Glad I got that out of my system while I was a minor though. Granted what they did catch me on were all minor things anyway. Still finished in the top 10% of high school though no one would study with me haha.
I've said this on several of my posts, but don't be like me kids. Hahaha. Life can be tough, don't make it harder than it needs to be.
