ya know, people going on about how this sort of attitude towards workers is historically accurate, y'all forget this is still going on right now. This is the sort of attitude and policies that are born from a boss believing their workers have "no where else to go" and probably supporting or acting out national policy which makes that the case or just making deals with all of their "competitors" to only give their workers so much and not step on eachother's toes. This shit didn't go away, in fact, they just got better at it.
