It's pretty disappointing to see a new translation I'm interested in, only to realize it was a mtl done by kaiscans. They don't even try to clean up their mtl. Just look at how many times the son's name's spelling changes in the first couple chapters of their translation of "I Became the Mother of the Bloody Male Lead." Cardissel, Kardisel, Cardisel, Cardicel, sometimes within the span of just a few speech bubbles... They couldn't even keep the spelling of Daisy/Daysi consistent.

Oh boy I sure love huge solid watermarks that block out parts of the panels. That isn't obnoxious or disrespectful to the original artist at all! The translation is terrible too.

in years this is the first time i've blocked a group. i understand using mtl for unpopular releases that wouldn't get translated... but this group just mass produces awful mtl with no proofreading, poor cleaning, awful typesetting and huge invasive watermarks to encourage people to use their website and make ad revenue. horrible.

It's really hard to tell what's going on because I know that the people who last used their site-name are masquerading as another still-extant site (lua scans) now following some complicated behind-the-scenes drama I'm not privy to, and I'm unclear if that was ever really Kai Scans in the first place because insofar as I can tell the last time any of them pushed a translation out was months ago.

(That is, they certainly aren't noticeably alive that I can tell, but they may have been succeeded by something quite awful and foul. I say this as someone who wasn't ever particularly bothered by their previous incarnations; I don't have particularly exacting standards!)
