You know what? This is kinda a trauma for me...
I still remembered so well that last year (or two now?), after I went and vote there for all the new titles I enjoyed here, few weeks later, the purge happened. It had always been on my mind whether the influx of foreigner who should have no way to know about any of this award or these manga was a call for the publisher to come and find out what was happening.
Probably just me being paranoia, but the timing was so right it sticks with me
