its implied that in other loops he went straight through the front door and defeated everything to get to the demon king, he hasn't said if he defeated them but most likely did

Whoa, I really love this hero trope. Albus, Rayman, and Himmel, "what makes a hero is what you do." And "just do what you need to do."

Like, it can still be relateable to common people, but still understandable that it takes special someone to have the will to do what need to do. Even in present day.

Rather than over the top reason, or revenge, or gloomier than abyss reason, a simple reason like that makes me saw them as a hero more than others.
