the new hero? tbh yeah, i completely agree. he may be the new hero, but he's not the one with time powers, right? that's still albus and co. doc's gonna come around from his "everyone is selfish and sucks" routine and make some noble sacrifice for sure... the question is, how long will the old gang continue on before looping back to save him next time around?

Then the new hero sacrifice himself, but then the companion make up time magic. We go further back, another hero with a sad backstory got chosen, and so on and so on.

make me remember about an indian tv series my mom used to watch )) a girl got married when she was 8, a lot of thing happen, she now an adult and have a daughter, her daughter got kidnapped and forced to get married at 8,... ))

I think because he's the new "hero" now, he should be the one with rewind (probably). Only issue is that the demon lord's now figured out what's happening so I think we're entering into the inevitably long and drawn out final showdown.

So the hero embarks on an adventure to defeat the demon king..... with two kids as his "sidekicks", which in reality are the ones who protect him and make him feel like the sidekick...

I love this new team dynamic, it's so freaking hilarious now that we have Albus and Fiona as kids but since they have knowledge of the loop, they basically almost bully while mentoring this new hero who's physically at least older than them xD I love how much sass not only Albus, but Fiona has towards him! I'm sure outsiders are side eyeing this ordeal if they ever witness it! Honestly it's a pleasure to witness this!
