So I read up to chapter 20 something for this and thought It might be better to read all at once assuming it'd be probably 80ish chapters long and kinda forgot about it.

I saw that it was still going on and just read this chapter as it's the latest one, and then re read the 20 or so chapters I was on before. It really feels like nothing has changed and no progress has been made in like 100X chapters since this doesn't feel out of place from those chapters I read all that much.

For the first time ever, I can relate to Nagi on a spiritual level

I think the chapter is meant to highlight how Nagi and Sousuke respond to Erika differently like where Sousuke would've been delighted by the lights and Nagi focused on the wasted electricity or where Sousuke would've cherished taking a trip to shop for New Years and Nagi preferred buying decorations for multiple holidays during a single shopping trip to save time.

Notice how the end of the chapter focused on how Erika perceived differences in Sousuke and Nagi's behavior that Sachi couldn't recognize.
thats actually a pretty good callout, came here from the anime and now im all caught up, i hit left click for the next chapter only for it to bring me to main page, i damn near cried from the lack of more material

Same here, just finished the anime, was very curious about it since this anime is very unlikely to get a season 2 as its very rare for animes to hav 24 episodes in 1 season. They probably just want to get out as much content as possible for it since they probably don't hav plans for it in the future.
The plot seems to go nowhere in the anime, only the last episode made some progress but judging on the reviews, doesn't look like it's going anywhere...
Just when I got high hopes, the manga eventually stopped getting translated as well... Guess I'll find another source...
