If author's could just have their MCs do stuff of their own volition, that'd be great.
Instead we get yet another instance of a character clearly stating to be against doing something and someone else is just saying: "Completely disrespecting everything you just said, you're doing this thing, I decided"
It's nauseating but that's the easy way to execute the "disrupt the norm" part of a story....

Would be cool if his manga got rejected again, which could lead to her cooling down a bit, seeing as her hyper attitude just basically crushed the guy's hopes. Maybe a bit of self-doubt, but nothing to existential that could ruin the vibes of the story. Just her realizing that going for 120% all the time maybe isn't the best for everyone.
I mean, I don't mind her being this energetic, but it would be a nice switch-up.
Yea showing that genki is not always the way forward and that trauma has to be tread upon carefully is part of why I like how the Neeko manga handled it

On one hand, I don't like other characters deciding for others what they should do (which is why I can't stand Your Lie in April), but on the other, both of them know this is something he wants to do, but lack the guts for. It's a tricky situation, but I don't think he's going to get further without a push.

His demeanor also tells me he was actually planning to go through with it rather than run away, since if he didn't plan it, he wouldn't gone that far in the first place. He's not good at saying no, but has enough of a drive for avoidance to just skip it regardless of what she said.

Oh lord forgive me for wanting to be crushed by THOSE THICCCC THIGHS
Which is kind of weird, since she's usually drawn as fairly slender. And about as tall as that man.

Just her realizing that going for 120% all the time maybe isn't the best for everyone.
It would be good for her, but probably devastating for him. But I do think he's got this.

Nah I rather have this than have the MC continue being a spineless ass MF, she's a good addition to this. I hate characters that are super pessimistic to absurd levels

He needs this or he will never grow as a person

Isn't that just merely "friendly push"?

I have several friends that push me exactly like that, especially so I can be brave and doing things better.

Totally nothing vile or annoying.
