hey, sometimes you just gotta pay the bills. And despite protests from the eternally online, people want good execution over originality.
And that's what makes me sad their prior series which were good (jinrui even appealed to ecchi to try to keep itself alive) got cancelled anyways, seeing people with potential being hindered by "gyaru romcom number 364836282738" is sad, like i don't even mind the setting, i mind the lack of shine on it, it does not stand out from the norm

As someone who followed their works, you can def notice how it gets more generic the more they got their things axed
To be fair, generic doesn't mean "bad".... and if it's done before, that means it's easier to make good...

If something is more unique, it can be harder to make it good...

The train scene??? They were both up all night?? How did she hide it so well, cuz he sure as hell was doing a terrible job. It sucks this manga doesnt have nearly as much traction as it deserves. Its amazing.

Issue with generic for me is that i already have like 5 or so mangas with the same premise but better, so it enters the question of "why should i read this again", like i said i'm only here to support the authors, because i wish this could shine inside the generic shell

She's way too genre savvy.

I always find it weird that when characters don't get to sleep, they're immediately dead tired. If you're that tired, wouldn't you be able to sleep? And I say that as someone who usually have problems sleeping. If you can't sleep, you're usually at some stage of too awake to sleep. The sleepiness usually comes a bit after you've calmed down, although I never had any problems staying up two days in a row as a teenager.

Does the scene on the train mean both of them didn't sleep
Yes.

Yes... they stayed up all night... so she was just as nervous as he was...
She's just better at hiding it.

How did she hide it so well, cuz he sure as hell was doing a terrible job.
Or we see it more from his perspective, and he didn't notice.

She wasn't hiding it as much as our MC just didn't notice...

And she couldn't sleep because she, like him, was just way too excited...

after a weak turn for the story, Now that we draw comes firing back with a good ass chapter. love the take on the lucky pervert, a troupe that's really cheap but this was a good spin on it, with both being manga otakus. the facial expressions in this chapter were beyond hilarious, and the ending really sweet. thanks for the translation sibling.
