I don't think this was cancelled. It was actually doing pretty good if this tweet was anything to go by...

Looking at the mangaka's Xitter, everything just stops after the last chapter was published in July 2025. But looking at the last few pages of the last chapter... it has the feel of a story arc being wrapped up.
Looks to me like this was two things. One is that it's a promotional manga of the LN, and Two is that this was a new mangaka being given their first shot using something that was low-risk (a short promotional manga) for the publisher.
